This respurce is a tool students can use to make an interactive sentence game. The game involves sentences that have one or more words missing and a number of possible 'answer' words. The player must select the correct answer words to complete the sentences by either dragging and dropping or ‘shooting' the words in the correct order. Included are five files for students and teachers to download, an eight-part information screen, and 12 examples of matching games already created for Japanese, Indonesian, Italian, French, German and ESL.

  • This resource is a valuable tool for students, allowing them to make two variants of the same appealing interactive game while also helping them to focus on their own understanding of sentence structure and word order as they develop the game.
  • Although useful in a range of learning areas, this tool is particularly valuable for language learning. In the English and Languages learning areas it can be used for practising agreements, adjectival endings, articles or many other grammatical features.
  • This tool helps to develop students' critical and creative thinking during planning and creation stages.
  • Supporting information is provided on topics such as planning and creating a good game (and saving and playing it) and technical issues. An assessment rubric for teachers is included, along with clip art and a guide to the codes used to add accented characters to the game.
